about

Recording this happened alooong time ago. Waaaaay back in 2011 at Mind Control Studios in Yucaipa, CA. Andy Burris took controls and kicked ass.

On this recording and, at the time, GPB was a 4 piece. We are now a 3 piece. Harmonies and "killer guitar licks" were provided by Jerry. Written by Dr. J

lyrics

the classic and romantic and the time we wandered on

fucking up the system while fucking up our brains all along.
burnt my leg and rot my brain
but not much more from those days

beat the system but i lost my keys
this teenage dope is killing me.

we are all normal now. but it dont matter anyhow

my anger lives in storm drains, but that too will come to pass
cuz we are running off with runny mouths that empty like a glass
our ideals and dreams give way to deadlines and a quick payday

and we assimilate and give up hope.
but i just cant quit this teenage dope.

Drug rehabilitation, sexual degradation, habitual frustration,
mindless incantations
Narrow point of view, jaded IOUs, irreverence of youth,
maniacal need for proof.
you got your LSD HPPD, borderline psych disease,
your lack of faith and less of means.
your wasted days your dying dreams, the doldrums
and the go betweens
you lost your mind and you cant cope
you got your teenage dope.

father, son and holy ghost
god bless the this one last overdose
won my war and i kept my hope
all because this teenage dope.
